Hyosung Comet GT 125
Honda CBR 125
Sachs XTC 125

Im looking for something similar to these, not a cg like bike.

How much would a newer CG cost anyway, as the 2004 onwards models dont look 2 bad, plus they have electric start disc brakes etc?

Nope, I'm all out, sorry.

Personally, I think the vanvan 125's look like a real winner. A winner in the sense that they look stupidly fun.

Yeah, almost hundreds. Have a look at older bikes as well (as long as in good condition/working order). You can pick up cheaper late 70s/80s bikes for a couple of hundred quid. Check your local rag/Friday Ads/Biketrader.

My old '82 CM125C Twin (mmmm, 14.6bhp, 72mph):

Good to learn on, bought for £250, sold for £650.

I picked up my Honda CLR 125 (1999) for £750. Its pretty good it has 8000k miles on the clock and has a full service history.

I did my cbt on a yamaha sr 125 and it was horrible, really low and uncomfortable.

By any chance did you do it at Kickstart 2000?

They use the SR125

[b]Facts on the CG.. (shame, I just sold mine):

An good 04 model will cost you about £1,300 + privately.
They are 2K brand new.
Yes, they do have disc brakes.
Yes, they have elec start.

Mine was reliable, and sturdy, and I liked it a lot as a L bike Thumbs Up

I could get 60 out of it on a windy day, and 75 on a glorious day Wink

Hmm....well, matey, to be perfectly honest, for a grand, you'd be hard to find a 'crashed' nsr or cbr or even xtc for that kind of money. Sr & CG, easy enough, they fall into that price bracket.

Really though dude, I know we say it a lot but I'll try and convince you a little.

£1000.

Pass test £300? Thats it you need all the training.

Then you have a few more bikes to play with.

On a 125 license, you really are restricted to what you can get. We have a pretty crap range of 125 bikes here in the Uk. If it was only like japan and the 400cc market, you'd have 125cc bikes of all the big bikes Very Happy

Yer i could do that, but the problem will be that the insurance will be even more than it is at the moment, and i struggle to pay that.
