Recently been to the garage and i've been told I need some new rollers, however, i need to go get them before the old ones are taken out. Problem is, i don't know which ones i need.

I have a Gilera DNA 50, 03 Reg, de-restriced with race exhaust and race variator.... so i need to know what weight to get?

Please help.

5.5's are good as it does not make the bike too revy and does not maker it gear up too quick.

small ones will make the bike more revvy and heavier ones will make it gear up much quiocker which is not very good.

Basically, lighter ones = more revvy with better accelerataion, though if they are insanely light, you might fine you have trouble getting up hills Razz Heavier = better top end accel and speed.

Though i have no idea what weight you need. You will also need to know what size you need....

Ill try and find a website...

Slightly off topic - sorry - but does anybody have a picture of what's inside the gear/ drive casing on scoots? I'm about to derestrict the gearing on my wife's Peugeot Vivacity and would feel happier knowing what I'm going to see ... ta Thumbs Up

Yeah. When i had heavier than standard rollers in my speedfight my accel from 0-35 was shite. But after about 40ish mph i got a sudden rush of power and i accelerated quicker to 60. Hence better "top-end accel" Thumbs Up

thats called mid range......

general rule if your bike is standard keep it standard'ish weight rollers

what haggard said isnt totally right but it will do for laymens terms, as a rule of thumb to go by

dont be thinkin u can fit 1gramerollers and have a take off like a R1 or try fitting 15gram rollers and ull do 100mph it dosnt work like that.....

althoug i know some very simple people who believed fitting 3 3 gram rollers and 3 9 grame rollers would give him amazing acceleration and amazing top end....... neadless to say his bike didnt go anywhere, fast

essentially the rollers define the first part of the gearing and drive progress...they force the pulley out to grip the belt and put it into gear so to speak

you need to get the rollers to spin out at the same time as the clutch springs to ensure a smooth take off looing as little power inbetween as possible

so as i said before stick with standard, if you have a "race pipe" go down half a gram and see how that goes....
