As per title really!

Quote:
Biker killed ...then gang dumps body
A gang dumped the body of a motorcyclist at the side of the road after the car they were in struck his bike.
People watched in horror as the callous occupants of the Ford Escort removed the body of the man from underneath the car before driving off from Glenview Close, Ribbleton, at around 9.20pm last night.
The estate car was found abandoned nearby. The motorcyclist, believed to be a local man in his late teens or early 20s, was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. It is believed the unnamed man had been killed instantly in the collision.

A Preston ambulance spokesman said: "I was the first at the scene and we could tell the driver had massive multiple-trauma injuries – consistent with being dragged down the road under the car."
He said it appeared the dead man was not wearing a helmet.
Insp Russ Morgan, from Lancashire Police, said the hit-and-run involved a head-on collision between the car and Honda 90cc motorbike.
He said: "The occupants of the car got out and dragged the dead man from under the vehicle and made off from the scene and abandoned the vehicle.
"Police would like witnesses to contact us."
PC Dave Taylor, from the Preston road policing unit, said: "We are keen to hear from witnesses who either saw the collision or either the Escort or the motorcycle before the accident."
Shocked local people spoke of the horror today.
Ann Rowland, who lives on Glenview Close, said: "I heard an almighty screech. It was so loud.
"When I looked out of the lounge window I saw someone lying in the middle of the road. It was a lad but I couldn't tell how old he was.
"You could tell straight away that he had been very badly hurt. It is terrible and you just don't expect to see it happen on your doorstep."
Other residents said children and teenagers regularly ride up and down Glenview Close on mini motorbikes and electric scooters.
The Close runs alongside Grange Park and riders often circuit the park and up and down Glenview Close.
Last night, because of the fine weather, dozens of riders were out until late in the evening. The incident is thought to have happened just before 9pm.
A woman, who lives in Glenview Court, a residential area occupied by pensioners and situated next to Glenview Close, said: "This was an accident waiting to happen.
"My husband and I have phoned the police before because kids from across the area use these roads like a race track. It is so dangerous and tragically now someone has been killed."
Four people – a man, woman and two 18-year-old youths – have been arrested.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Preston Police on 01772 203203.

Sounds like there is more to that story than meets the eye.

Now that says to me "Ned on a stolen bike".

I wonder if he knew the people in the car, or if the people in the car knew whose bike it was?

This is no reason to go around killing people but in the past I have certainly been in the position of driving round in my car looking for one of my stolen bikes. I don't know what I would have done had I come across it riding down the road in front of me.

I am probably being too cynical and there is certainly no excuse for what they did. They deserve the book throwing at them.

So he got hit in a head on collision riding a C90 (nicked or field bike, probably both) whilst not wearing a helmet. There's alot more to this than is being told.

Oh by the way I stole this from sv650.org.... Embarassed

Point was raised though: Regardless of bike or protective equipment, it's quite likely they would have done the same to someone riding a new R1 with full leathers on.

I might go so far as to suggest that one of the occupants of the car had just had his C90 nicked, they were out in the car looking for it and someone on an R1 in full leathers wouldn't have had anything to worry about.

Although maybe that is reading too much into too small an amount of information.

You're just speaking from experience! You didn't go out looking for that scallywag in your car did you? The night of the theft? Laughing

Can't blame you...

I have to agree with Stinkwheel here, it's the first thing I thought when I read it too, for the same reasons.

I think there's more to this story than has been reported too.

Definately something missing there...

But i am interested to know.. why were the Preston Police involved when it was near to Grange Park?? Surely Blackpool would have been more convenient..

Sorry nit picking.. live about 15 minutes away from the area Smile

i think the world is more about chaos, disorder and accidents rather than controlled by powerful dark forces. conspiracy theories which neatly fit ppls pet hobby horses such as "theiving chavs shd be stopped" are more like reading ink blots where it reveals more about the person thinking them than reality

id go with the thing of reckless young ppl riding on motorbikes on or around the park.

I saw some lads near a park on a scooter. t shirts and shirts (obviously) but the only thing on their heads were chav caps. To be fair they werent being particulalrly reckless when i saw them and although their heads were not protected, they had protected themselves from the law by covering the numberplate with a bit of white paper.

many car drivers and many motorbike riders are a bit reckless and not good at reacting to dangerous situations. If they meet the biker will get hurt but not usually killed.

So what if he nicked a bike (and that's a big assumption!) - is it worth killing over?

If my bike was stolen and if I had a car license and a car, and I went looking for it, like Stinkwheel suggested, and I saw my bike, being ridden towards me, by someone with no helmet on, and I was almost sure it was my bike, I think I'd probably try knock 'em off and do horrid things. No, not intentionally kill, but if it happened, I probably wouldn't be in the mind to try explain either.

Then again, lots of ifs there. Just my Penny Coin Penny Coin . I don't belive anyone ever deserves to die. Sorry if this is stealing Stinkwheels point, just trying to clarify my way of seeing it.

Hell, yes.

"...then he goes after the rest of the mob. He kills their kids. He kills their wives. He kills their parents and their parents' friends. He burns down the houses they live in, the stores they work in. He kills people that owe them money."

Thumbs Up Mr. Green Thumbs Up
