Toying with the idea of recovering and maybe resculpturing the seat of my bike.
I like the idea of fitting a gel pad but does anyone know where you can get these?
Any other pointers appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation. ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

whats a gel pad? i'm doing mine in new vinyl as I ripped it whilst retrofitting it to my bike. Was toying with the idea of heated seats and/or lil computer fans in the foam to cool your goolies as they run off 12v but not sure. Not likely to need either are you? ____________________ -=[Sam/b]=- cx500's the only way to travel, we do it in style just like jimmy saville

Tony Archer is the guy that other companies often send their seats to for customisation. He's a master craftsman and unbelievably cheap. He'll recover your own seat to any spec you want with any design you want.
He's in Huddersfield. I've got his phone No and addy if your intrested. ____________________ https://hyperbikes.forumsplace.com/ |

This guy did the seat on my girlfriend's LS650 and incorporated a gel pad. The custom job was excellent, quality of finish is miles better than OEM and the comfort is brilliant.

He used to work for Aston Martin, designing seats for mass production and building one-off's for specials. He's not cheap though. |

Hi,
we have used P& P https://www.ppseat.co.uk/ in the past and they did a good job, I do not know if they sell the pit though.
The Gel meant we got the Bandit seat quite low and it is quite comfy still.
Regards
