Just keep checking eBay mate. That's all I did and then the one I bought popped up. Was a 90 mile round trip but it was worth it in the end Very Happy.

Just gotta be patient, I wanted to go and buy the first bike I saw 'cos I wanted one so much, but leave it a bit and one will turn up that you'll be happy with.

Thumbs Up

yea, the only problem ive got is that i havent got me bike license yet so getting one home from quite a distance away could prove a bit of a problem.

If you need to, hire a van - the chances are you're going to have to travel to get a good deal.

My boyf and I drove from Chichester (south coast) to Blackpool (via Bristol on the way up there to get rid of the current bike, and via Macclesfield on the way back to brag to friends!) and back to get a stonking deal on a Kawasaki B1!

Well why not concentrate on passing your test than getting a bike? Confused

Keep your eyes peeled and something will turn up Tom. Dont go buying the first bike you see because its close. Like the others have said a little travelling can give good results. Good luck in your search Exclamation

I travelled over 150 miles to get my bike, somestimes you have to go a little way to get a good deal. I used a trailer to get it back as I didn't have a license.

I travelled over 120 miles to get the Blade, I don't understand people who won't travel anywhere to get a good deal on a bike. When I was selling the Blackbird, I had a bloke from Bournemouth tell me it was too far away. It's 35 miles FFS.

Cheers

There's loads of motorcycle delivery companies on eBay.
I was quoted £150 for pickup of a cbr400 in Surrey and hauled to Tyne & Wear. Thumbs Up
I'm guessing that it is cheaper than me actually hiring a van and driving there myself.

You might get lucky and find a minter just around the corner, but if you're prepared to travel you increase the chances of finding one.
There are loads of bikes about, some are mint some are dogs, be prepared to be disappointed many times before you find the one you want.
Personally i don't have enough money to throw it away on the first pile of shit i come across, the old saying is 'a fool and his money are easily parted'.
