Morning all, thought this might be useful to some people.

I've attached a spreadsheet, which if you enter your tyre size and gear details, will provide a graph which shows the speed at 1000rpm intervals (0...20000 rpm) for each gear (1st...6th).

This is useful if you want to experiment with different sprocket sizes, but are unsure of the speed differences.

Hope you like it.

All the best ... BanditsHigh

I wish I had MS Office. Sad

I could *really* do with one of them. As mentioned previously, was hoping to fiddle with my rear sprocket.

Ehm, kind of embarrasing, but where'd I find the data relivent to my bike?

I know the final drive sprocket size, but I don't have a scooby on my gear ratios.

My bike's a Triumph Daytona 600.

Thanks alot! Smile

That spreadsheet opens fine in OpenOffice which you can download FREE from https://www.openoffice.org/

Cheers, I had an older version of this off MCN Ninja's which I lost, been looking out for this Smile

BTW, you can get the gear ratios from the Haynes manuals.

Do my ratios look right, or do they look backward? I put them in from the manual, however, my manual put them the other way, but from the bike already in there, it looked wrong. (How confusing is that?!)

Hlep.

Yes you have put them in right. My manual also states the reciprocal of the reduction ratios.

The SV is good for 140mph then! Shocked Very Happy Thumbs Up
