been phoning around for quotes for a bike i hope to buy, 1998 sports bike

mostly getting quotes around the grand mark, due to

Arrow being kept on the road
Arrow only past DAS 5 months ago (seems like a year!)
Arrow 0 NCB

getting very pissed off, are these quotes the best they can do or do they just don't want to insure me? got one for 8 grand! WTF
hoping not the first former, is there any truth in getting quotes at the end of the month when companies want to reach targets?
Cheers
WN

Edit: all TPFT quotes

Hey WN,

Give Ronnie a call at Riders Choice, he'll do whatever he can to beat your best quote.

Make sure you tell him you he was recommended to you from MCN Ninjas website.

Tel. 0121 384 9201

He got me a quote which was much better then anywhere else.

Or you could just tell them it is being kept in a brick built garage Wink

Far as I know, they just double the excess if it is stolen when it wasn't in the garage (that's what it says on my policy). I am sure one of your neighbours will let you 'borrow' his garage for paperwork purposes (looks a lot better if the garage actually exists).
