Probably no point, but it is tremendous fun and highly addictive. Until you crash it. ____________________ My Bikepics page

The local authority near Bishops Castle obviously believe that placing your knee on the road whilst riding is far safer... There were signs all along a nice twisty A road showing a guy with his knee down saying "Ride safe, Think ahead"
Three points of contact must be more stable than two ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

You should alwas ride with a safety margine. If you go into every corner with the intension of getting yer knee down then wha are you gonna do if it tightens on you?
Being confident with those angles of lean is fine for when you need it but you shouldn't be trying to do it all the time.
On the other hand, if you know the road well and know where it can be done safely then why not? Doing it again and again adds to your confodence and therefore, gives you eve more of a safety margin for when things go tits up. ____________________ https://hyperbikes.forumsplace.com/ |

On the road it's generally just for fun and a pose. Nothing like a nice long 70+mph knee-down in front of a crowd of gawping onlookers |

Nothing like stuffing another bike/car on the outside of a roundabout while hanging off like a loon, leaning the bike over so far that passing cars can read the "unleaded fuel only" on the tank while accelerating and leaning further and further...
...showng off.
...but fun . ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

See no need for it personally but would be useful incase you do need to lean further should you get yourself into trouble. You will then get yourself out of it. I have no desire to do it personally.
In the case of NSR125-kid he has just proved exactly the time and place not to practice a "knee-down" moment. Not sure I would want my head to suddenly meet a bumper personally. ____________________ Pictorgraphicalfantastical |
