Right, been out at the weekend, looking for yet more kit for riding.

I have found some boots in Heine Gerick (spelling) £150 look pretty tough etc. probably going to be my first buy.
I have a Jacket in mind for £140 (red/black) the bike, the old one i have will be the one my girlfriend wears pillion.

The problem i'm having is getting a pair of trousers, i seem to have short legs, i dont know. The knee protectors are below my knee's and they are really baggy!
I dont want to be uncomfortable obviously, it will put you off wearing them, i cant spend a lot on them because i dont have the funds.

Any advice?

stretching rack perhaps??
I know what you're saying Im only 5'4 and struggle in the length area as well ( take a free shot here guys)
I havent got a leather set up yet but obviously want to look into it a little further down the track. This makes the option of picking up a cheap pair of ebay or such a harder prospect.
Not sure how difficult it will be to buy new.
Have you had any issues in finding sizes for us short arses thus far in shops ??

I don't remember you being particularly short... I just remember thinking "That nutter has ridden all the way from Cheltenham in jeans"

Have you tried anywhere other than Hein Gericke? Might be worth asking to see how much it would be to have the trousers taken up - I have mine shortened above the knees so that the armour sits on top of them. No harm asking Thumbs Up

I find the trousers with really small waists have the knee protectors in the right place but I can’t find them on. The trousers with my waist size (I’m a 32 or 34) seem far too big in the knee area and are not the right height.
I could ask for them to be taken up I guess, I’ll give it a go.

Don't forget that the BMF Tail-End is coming up soon!

I got my Frank Thomas textile jacket there last year, for £30. £120 ish in the shops.

Might be worth waiting a bit.

Have you tried sitting on a bike in them? Only because they tend to sit a little higher when your knees are bent a bit. If you really have problems you could try some of the women's sizes as they will be a bit shorter, although the waist will be a different fit too. Might be worth a go anyway.

i'd recommend buying several different items on ebay quite cheaply and then trying them out. You will probably find 1 out of the three which is great but you wouldtn have picked as your first choice.

I bought 2 jackets, a one piece, and a 2 piece suit.

The jackets were £30 each, the one piece was £30 and the 2 piece was £100 nearly new and looks good but isnt as comfy as the better quality old unfashionable one piece.

I'd agree with the previous post that you only know if the knee bit is in the right place if you squat a bit as if you are sitting on a bike.

Baggy might not be ultra safe but its comfy.

Im curious now, is there a suzuki/killa rift or I am just reading to much into a bit of banter ?

Oh and if you like jeans, You can get some jeans on ebay with hip, knee and even shin protectors.

I only have a pair of bog-standard textile trousers, but my knee protectors are below my knees when I'm standing up - they rise to the right place when I'm sitting on my bike though.

Technically....

You made a joke, took the piss.
I made a joke, took the piss.
You said "lets leave it"
I said "OK"
You carried on... and I ignored you.

As for PM's - I don't know what you're talking about.

Oh, and I guess the "little killa" joke wasn't far wrong! Razz Wink

So the hot headed replies were from Killa then?

I got this one from him after I'd ignored his childish attempts to goad me into further banter...

Sorry to butt in here, but I too have a nightmare finding leathers to fit properly!

I am female, and size 16, 5'7" and quite curvy- so not a superwaif!! BUT do they do womens clothing for the larger woman - do they chuff!

I spent 4 hours in heine gerrick trying on everything, and finally settled on a pair of mens trousers - although they did not fit properly on the waist, and were slightly too long, and the knees have loads of extra leather in them, but they finally fitted my thighs!

Then onto the jacket - well!!! I am not a small chested woman, but have quite a small waist! All the jackets that fitted my bust were too long in the arms, the waist was perfect, although not on the waist - was more on the hips, and the elbows were by my wrists!!! Shocked

Finally managed to find a matching jacket - the smallest man's one - and although a little hugging on the chest, it will have to do!!!

DON'T get me started on crash helmets!!!! Twisted Evil

Just thought I would vent ! I was seriously depressed after shopping for leathers - It made me feel as though I was all out of shape and too large to be a biker!!! I have seen much bigger!!!

Wink

No Jon, I wouldn't start posting ‘Technically’ when the evidence is there for all to see.
I had to get your petty, 'bad' ratings revoked by a Mod on the forum who didn’t understand why you were doing it. (actually thought it was funny)

Suggested I send you PM, which I did, which you then just put on here saying I was hot headed.

You started all this by trying to joke.
I wanted to end it at one point, I said "Give it a rest FFS" (see link ppl)
But no....

Suzuki wrote:

Killa - if you just posted stuff people wanted to read, rather than stuff you think will increase your karma, then you'll probably find that your posts will get a few more ratings...

Suzuki wrote:
I don't think little killa understands though... Laughing

So by repeating everything that was said before and making a joke that was more like a dig than anything else, you fucked me off. Hence why I to had a dig, and oh look, you threw the toys out of the pram.
Then the crap, abuse and abusive Karma ratings happened, even got an abusive one for a little Photoshop picture you didn’t enjoy. Rolling Eyes
All i get now is shit ratings because I asked about it.

Technically it started here: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=579563#579563

And with some rather innapropriate PM's to my girlfriend, which I'm sure your girlfriend would also be unhappy about.

Yeah certainly Jon, I am a right cunt, I mean, look at the PM I sent her

I was trying to wind him up and it kinda worked, anyway i'm sorry i used you for those reasons.
And the hat thing i guess wasnt funny, ah well.

I thought you lot were great when I met you by the way!

She then said, well it was offensive, blah blah blah

So I got really angry and harsh like

I didn’t start all this, I just asked a few questions about Karma, your guy took the piss, makes me angry as there was no need for it.
I don’t find him offensive because it was silly.

Sorry again

Jon, I feel for you mate, I didn’t think you were that affected by the post I made last week (i thought it was a compliment), ok well if you didn’t like it, why didn’t you say something then, instead of being a cock muncher.
You’re a wind up, you should be happy I made a comment like that, I would be.
I know i'm not going to get any where here, even though i clearly was apologetic and tried sorting it, i was just getting crap from you.
Your doing it now.
