Comes as standard with both my policies.
Multi bike policy (MZ baghira, GPZ500s, Suzuki T500 and Jawa 350) TPF&T, 280 quid.
Single bike policy (Honda H100) TPF&T, 70 quid
EDIT: Remember, they are 'ride with owners permission' but ONLY if they are also covered by another insurance policy and ONLY on a third party basis. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. how long have you been riding? how old are you if u don't mind me asking? Probably going to have an effect on the quote ain't it. Bike insurance companies dont include car ncb into the policy do they? (i've got 3/4 years car ncb) ____________________ -=[Sam/b]=- cx500's the only way to travel, we do it in style just like jimmy saville

I'm 27. Been riding 11 years with the same in NCB.
May be something to do with going TPF&T rather than TPO. I certainly didn't get it for the first couple of years I was insured, but I was on a rider policy back then. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. Couple of things to bear in mind when you start ringing round.
Bennets don't offer cover on any bike with any of their policies.
Carole Nash only offer it on bikes over 350cc. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

As I understood it, the bike you are insuring has to be over 350cc. Your TPO cover then applies to any bike regardless of cc. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

Hi
Seems to be pretty much a freeby that some companies offer to get your business. Bennetts refusal to offer such cover is what cost them my business.
The older you are and the more expensive the policy is (such as fully comp) then the more likely you are to get this cover.
While I have never seen anything that specifies that the bike must be otherwise insured, it does make logical sense. You are insured to ride it, but when you are not riding it then it is not insured which is illegal on the roads. Such as when it is parked in a petrol station while you pay for petrol.
All the best

Came as standard on my policy (Virgin Insurance). It pays to stay with insurance hunting. Just when I was about to give up after two days of phoning. I was offered a policy that was 30% cheaper than any of the others, had the cheapest excess, included European cover as standard and any bike cover ____________________ https://hyperbikes.forumsplace.com/ |
