A little tip I thought I'd share.

Note: The point of this is that you can enter _any_ value you want, and not be limited to the choices that biketrader give you, for example you can search for bikes at £1300, rather than £1000 or £2000 using biketraders method.

As biketrader.co.uk is a little vague on it's criteria, I found out a way to search for any criteria you want by modifying the querystring in the search URL. The values you can edit are highlighted in bold and an explanation is below.

(Need to add https:// to the beginning of this string, I have removed it to stop the forum picking it up as a link)

atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/bikes_search.asp?page=3&modelexact=1&make=ANY&model=ANY&ccappr=125&min_pr=75&max_pr=1300&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=l99+9ue&miles=50&max_records=200&source=0&keywords=&photo=1&sort=4&search=SEARCH

min_pr = Minimum Price
max_pr = Maximum Price
mileage = Haven't tried, but pretty sure you can change
miles = Miles away from your postcode to search VERY USEFUL
ccapr = CC of bike to search for
max_records = Maximum number of searches to display

(Weird error, don't know if it's just me, but I find even if I don't get 50 results on a search, if I set it to 200 I will get even more bikes to show up, which is weird)

To edit the string, do not touch the & or = sign, just type a numerical value in front of it, to remove it from the criteria just clear the numerical value and leave the & and = intact

EG:

To search for max price of 1250, enter 1250 after max_pr

Result:

&max_pr=1250

To not search for any max price, clear it, so it looks like this

&max_pr=&
