you don't have to switch it on when you fill it up. When the tank fills up reserve is just whats left in th bottom of the tank. Just switch it to reserve when you run out. Please tell me you didn't have reserve left? Laughing

Make sure you don't leave it on reserve for day to day use. Also when you do switch it to reserve bear in mind it takes a while to start as all the fuel has to work its way through.

I get around 220 KM to reserve then another 30KM or so on reserve thats on my 89 H1.

It obviously depends on where im riding and what sort of riding im doing but generally just poodling about i get around the 220 mark til reserve.

When mine was filled up the day I got it, I got 154 miles out of the tank before it went onto reserve.

Seeing as it wasn't me riding it, but my old man just taking me to and from work I think I can say a big fat no to that.

On my bike (zxr4) 'off' should be down. If the 'off' is up you are on reserve and that's bad.

When you run out switch to reserve, Let it sit for a min and use half choke to restart.
