Well anyone ever used them?

I pick up my new bike tomorrow and its shod with these tyres F & R. Just want to get a rough idea what they are like for a sports bike cuz I've never heard of them.

Used Avon's and Dunlop 207's but not these???

Still, I can't complain..

My old 207 rear was pretty good and they are all but new on the bike, lots of tread to destroy!

Hi

Sportmax is a very generic name for Dunlop radial tyres. If the 207 and 208 are both Sportmaxs, then that means at least 4 different tyres have that name.

The original Sportmax came on the Aprilia RS125. They did not suit it that well as a ZR rated tyre designed for a heavy fast bike never really got up to temperature on a light 125. They worked OK on my FZ750.

All the best

Keith

To be fair I did get them warm once. Hot day riding back from North Wales. From Porthmadog they were just about working well in Shrewsbury, when it was time to stop and fill up with petrol.

All the best
