Well it finally happened , after many months of sitting still i finally got round to riding my 748 and there is only one thing to say .................
WOW
i started off poodling out of work ( stalling at the gate )
took it nice and easy ( very different to R6 ya see ) just shifting up at around 5/6k rpm .....got to a nice straight bit of road and opened her up and wowsers at 7.5k rpm it bloody takes off ..!!
Like a rocket up its arse , the front goes light the bars twitch and the engine screams , although not as much as if i had some termis'.
Handling is pin sharp, dulled only slightly by the dodgy tyres
The bikes is so light ...i swear its lighter than the NSR i sold
So far it has only been a fairly short ride but it is a great bikes and cant wait to spend the weekend thrashing the nuts off of it . . although hopefully not literally

I rode a mate's 748BP and found it strange. It kicks you in the pants initially, but then I found the power died off the further it climbed the rev range. Very strange handling characteristics too (not bad, just... different).
I stalled it too. Seems to be common with twins for people who aren't used to them. I also nearly dropped it, with its stupid sui-side stand! |
