personal injury claim.. can i or not?

So who do you think you are going to claim against if it was a hit and run?

If you can identify the vehicle that hit you, your first step would be to report the incident to the police as it is a legal requirement to stop and report at the scene of an accident where someone has been injured (I am pretty sure that public car parks count as part of the road for the purposes of the Road traffic act, someone else will no doubt know better). If you don't report the accident to the police then you will get nowhere fast with an injury claim since one of the first things you will be asked for is an incident number.

Of course the police are likley to ask such awkward questions as. Can we see your registration document and certificate of insurance?

So, you decide, let it lie or go to the police.
