That is a very nice looking bike. On the other comment though, why does every bike under the sun need a change of can ? You're being brainwashed by aftermarket can makers mate Karma Very Happy

Eh? Standard cans look dull, and aftermarket models can sound a lot better.

Well its just that the standard can is there for a reason, and does the job perfectly well. If it didn't, the manufacturer wouldn't have put it on there. So why spend the money (and its a fair bit in some cases) just to change the can ?

And tell people you're coming from miles off - good if it's a kid crossing the road, bad if it's a cop with a radar gun.

And black screens are bad - can't see through them Smile.

I disagree. It does the job, but that's not to say that it's the best at doing the job. Manufacturers are not always able to use the best equipment for the job otherwise the bike would cost £30k.

Maybe if you've got your head flat on the tank, but my screen's so low that even with my head slightly off the tank I can see over the top of it.

Ah, but the better sound is louder.

Get a double then - or if you have, lean down more!
I never minded my blue db on the ZX6 until I actually tried to use it. A bit irritating on the road, especially at night (for when you really need to get to B 2 minutes after you left A Smile. ) Seem to remember being on a trackday with a tinted db at some point and finding it really annoying.

As for more pictures that will have to wait till tuesday, thats when im picking it up.

(it would have been here earlier but damn building society dont let me take the funds out without notice, so left a deposit and paying in full on Tuesday).

Tuesday just seems like its taking forever to come Evil or Very Mad

As for aftermarket cans is there any particular brand you recommend? Are some cans better suited to particular bike brands?

Nice bike Thumbs Up

Good to see you got black which is of course the fastest colour Smile

As for the exaust situation, loads of brands available, but I think Yoshi are somehow linked with Suzuki.

Very nice bike, im after one when i get some money saved up
IMO race cans have an advantage and a disadvantage
People in cars and people on the street can hear you comming and think twice before pulling out
but, the police can hear you comming also, most of them will do nothing, dont even know what a race can is, but you always get one wank stain.

looks like a stunning looking bike and wont half go well, too! Thumbs Up

I recently got a K1 and took it for it's first balls-out blast last night and OMG it's crazy fast, glides around corners and stops like nothing else. I'm still stunned form last night. Being a newer model yours should be faster, better, meaner, leaner and outright more crazy Shocked

Hope she's as good as she looks! Cool

Manufacturers put the standard cans there more for necessity (noise regulations and laws) more than because they want to.

A bike that is well set up with a decent aftermarket can (road legal or otherwise), usually with dynojet too, will have a smoother power and torque curve, because most bikes suffer from a dip in the rev range at around 5000-6000 rpm to cater for euro law crap.

Its an individual choice of course.

looks perfectly nice to me that exhaust , nice shape. I would be tempted to spray the exhaust tubing black might look nicer. Maybe spray the can grey or something.

what is that black ramp looking thing next to the back wheel? is it me or does the picture look photoshopped in a way?

Holeshot makes an excellent can for your/our bikes.

I'd planned on getting one, and still do, but a poorly-timed off has put that in limbo for the moment. There's plenty of information about it in the link, so do check it out. Plenty of options for other makes and models as well.
