lowering link

I just purchased a lowering link for my 2002 r6 and just got it in the mail, but the one that Spencer cycle sent me is for a 98-03 r1. I am curious if this will still work on my bike? Has any one lowered their bike? I only want to go 1". I have looked and some places sell the lowering link for a r1 and r6 the same piece. PLEASE NEED HELP.

Can you not simply adjust the preload on your suspension?

I have fully adjustable lowering links fitted to mine

they work a treat but are probably OTT for what you need

no idea baout the R1/R6 thing though

easiest way for a permanent fix is to measure what you want and get a local machine shop to knock one up in Stainless

I did put the lowering link on yesterday in my kitchen( it was 115 yesterday)and the makers of the link said that it would also sit at stock and it did not. But after lowering it 1" the suspension was sh*t. So i rode home and put the stock link on.
