Will a zxr400 wheel fit in the new zx6rr forks? I'm trying to find out but don't seem to be getting anywhere. I know it's a longshot asking on here and I have asked on 400gb aswell but no answers as of yet.....

No, I don't know, but -
You will need to get some bearings off the right size probably and may need to make up various spacers. You may also need to get a custom spindle made

Suspect the best cause of action is to get a zx6rr wheel (is this any different to the 636cc model Confused ) - though it'd be much better if you got the rest of the 636 bike as well Razz Smile.

Very, very, very much doubt it Smile.

There's also brake caliper alignment - also the right calipers to fit, etc etc.

Have you checked to see if the yolks will fit - I'm presuming the forks won't. You could have quite a bit of machining to get done to get them to fit - or if you're unlucky, a new set made up from scratch.

Are the discs the same size?

I'm sure it's not why you want them, but you can probably sort out your brake performance with new decent pads, braided hoses and a good service.

the forks are 45mm jobbies afaik, whilst the 400 had 43mm or something.

You'll probably need to machine some sort of spacer for the headstock and possibly modify the ZX-RR yokes.

Additionally your trail and offset will be completely screwed, which could make the bike very unstable and possibly even dangerous.

You want all those downsides for a bit of tart value?

You Crayshee! Smile
