"Not for road use" removal

well the bike i have just brought has got a art can on and it has "not for road use" printed on the surrounding ring near the exit port!, i want to get rid of it due to reasons. does anyone know of a good way of getting rid of it without fecking up the finnish of the can?

so long as it isnt chrome plated or something stupid it can be sanded and polished out.

did you do it with wet and dry or a dremal then use autosol to polish it?

I'm doing this right now to my Renegade cans,
I tried sanding last night but I barely scratched the surface (:droll:)

I have a dremel and will attempt it at lunchtime today to see what happens.

Why would you bother? Do you honestly think that any copper worth his salt is not going to know an illegal exhaust just from looking at the complete lack of baffles? Speaking to a traffic officer I know, they're more annoyed by people trying to hide it than people who don't.

P.S Buy a Micron, they have the 'Not for road use' under the spout in very faint letters

Dont bother with getting rid of the whole "not for road use" do what my dad did on his art cans and just polish out "not"

well lets say the MOT I passed today would have been an instant failure otherwise..

without those words, it's at the discrescion of the MOT tester.

why not just get one of those little aluminium stamped plates from ebay, which have the bsau 193 t/2 legal digits. just stick this on.
