Me and R4nger are thinking about taking our bikes to Jersey. So has anyone done it on there bikes?

Is there still lots of fortifications left over from the war? Easy to just set up tents places etc?

We are dying to travel somewhere on our bikes, good thing about going to Jersey is you don't cover a lot of miles on your bike as most of it is ferry.

P.S. Yes I'll be doing it on my Ducati Shifty Praying. Lots of confidence in Ducati me.

My mum lives in Guernsey, which is a hop skip & jump rom Jersey. There is a good camping place called Herm island. Although i dont think you will be able to take the bikes there.

Not sure what kind of camping is over there, but there is alot of old german buildings on the coast. For example my mums other half's motorbike club is actually an old german lookout from WW2. So if your into that kinda stuff i'd suggest asking around or visiting the local tourist information places.

Make sure you check out the german underground hospital bunker thingy. Called into jersey with the RN, got into most of the stuff for free, and that was pretty damn impressive. Lovely island as well, great nightlife if you like cheesy clubs!

there is a girl on www.125sporsbikes.com who lives on jersey

you could arrange to meet up with her and she would show you some good roads or anything of interest. She would love to have visitors cos she has said so in the past. There is a bloke aswell bu im not sure if he is guernsey or jersey.

Don't know for sure yet. Most ferry prices seem to be 100+ return, but it is peak season.

Hi i am from the channel islands.

You cant take bikes onto herm or sark but you can camp there.

Guernsey and jersey both have loads of stuff from the war still here and there is tons of places to set up tents etc.

Mybe just spend a day in each island then get the boat from jersey back to england?
