is it legal?

cause i thought it would come under driving with out due care and attention?

but the fact that having ear plugs in also does the same by drowning out the noise of the wind and bike doesnt that also come under the same as either way you carnt hear bugger all

Its been asked so many times its upseting..

NO its not illegal

Its could only be claimed without due care and attention the same way a chaved up max power mobile with its windows wound up and 1000watt sound system on full blast...

Personally allways have only the left side in (unless i'm going to be on motorway for a couple of hundred miles) where you hear all normal traffic noise perfectly, but still get your music.

With both headphones in i can hear more than i can then in a fiesta with its windows done up without the cd player on never mind with it on.

Search it on here you'll find rediculous ammounts on this subject.

This has come up loads of times.

The general consensus was that it is not illegal - but care needs to be taken with choice of music.

If I'm doing a long journey, I'll stick one headphone in over my earplugs. I'll listen to anything from System to Idlewild to Bodyrockers, depending where I'm going and how I'm feeling.

Craig

I like my fast dance music. I find that if I try listening to this while riding, then I start doing silly things Confused I only did this a few times, before deciding that I'd be safer not listening to music Sad

you can get earphones which are also earplugs combined, so you dont have to have the volume so loud as outside noises are reduced

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5789975584&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

i am thinking about getting some, but havent decided yet

I use both, it bores me as my bike has no great power, it makes me concentrate more to be honest and i can still hear traffic and sounds of horns.

I've been pulled twice on my bike for speeding. Both times I was wearing a pair of white inner-ear headphones. Very noticiable. Neither officer commented. Whistle
