If anyone read the thread a while back about me rebuilding my NS125rk well this is part 2.

Over the past couple of months i have been collecting parts for it ready for this week (i took the week off work to get the bike sorted)

I went the whole hog and bought everything it needed brand new. Rear shock and linkage bushings, fork seals and fluid, chain and sprockets, new front pads and disk and rear shoes. I bought the bike off here so i think a couple of you have owned it already! Someone had "hand" painted the dark grey frame in a bright silver (but only the bits they could see, all the inside edges of the frame were still the original colour Confused), and i'm assuming the same person "hand" painted the white wheels in black gloss without cleaning them so some of the paint didnt stick and you could see the brush strokes (no offence intended if the painter is among us!). Anyway, the bike was in a bit of a mess. I bought a new frame from ebay for £50, also the frame's 2 years younger than the other one so thats a bonus. Today i have done loaaaads.

(yesterday)
1. Sprayed the frame a dark grey (Ford metallic graphite gray)
(then it started to rain!)

(Today)

Basically without going into great detail i had the H reg frame as a full bike (minus the wheels) and the J reg frame was just a frame. Ive swapped them over so the J reg is now sat in the garden looking pretty.

I had the wheels powder coated at a place in rotherham. They guy who did them did a fantastic job so here is a little advertising for him

Craftwork Coatings - 01709719246 He does powder coating, shot blasting, vapo cleaning (for engines etc) and he is very good at what he does.

The bike isnt running yet unfortunately cause i havent fitted the oil tank or carb (still dirty) and all the panels still need finishing. I'm spraying all the panels red again a some point this week (i managed to convince my mate that he needed a compressor so im going to use that Very Happy) If you have read this far thanks but i now need some help!

Arrow The rear shock is brand new and it was a bugger to fit. Its about half and inch longer than the old one. It knocks a little when you push it down. Will it sag a little and shorten itself over time?

Arrow The Important one. I cleverly ( Confused ) bought myself a o-ring chain and have only just realised today that it doesnt connect like the old one does, it needs to be riveted. i dont have a riveter (sp) and dont really want to shell out close to £60 to get one. Does anyone in the sheffield area (or near) have one that i could either borrow or you could come see it in person and help connect it together. please please please please. This is the only major snag i have at the moment to having a running bike!

I will post some photos when i can find my camera! Does anyone know where i can host them for free as i have the before ones and i know you all want to see what the wheels used to look like? Very Happy (without uploading them to BCF)

Sorry for the long post but i am a bit bike crazy after today Twisted Evil
