But I don't feel guilty.
Was riding my GPZ500back from Edinburgh today with my mate on his F650. Coming down the A7, making fair progress when we came up behind a guy in a Ford Focus doing about 55mph.
My mate was in the lead and every time he started to make a move on the guy, he started speeding up. He would go up to maybe 85-90mph which effectivley blocked the overtake by the F650 which tops out at a ton. As soon as we dropped back he slowed back down again.
I eventually got totally pissed off with this and took the lead. I am sorry to say I sat behind him and just kept pushing the speed up and up in 5mph increments. Turns out that at about 115mph, he decided that the game wasn't fun any more as was evidenced by the look of panic on his face in the mirror as he barrelled into some of the corners.
Took him through another couple of corners just to make the point then pushed on past him. Made sure I lingered for long enough in front of him so he could see it was a fifteen year old piece of shit that had just taught him a lesson. His bird in the passenger seat didn't look all that impressed with him either come to think of it.
As I said, not big or clever, and yes, could have caused an accident. He needed teaching a lesson though, I reckon he will think twice before doing that again. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. If I were on the GPZ, I would have overtaken him, then sat at 20mph, allowing the F650 to pass who, should he feel the urge, would have taken his mirror off with a well placed boot. ____________________ Current: CB500 Previous: CB100N, CB250RS, XJ900F, GT550, GPZ750R/1000RX, AJS M16, R100RT, Enfield Bullet

A German guy in Soctland did that to Bendy.
He was driving a brand new Audi A6 and at every corner he'd potter around really slow as if he was scared. His car should have been able to take those corners faster than Bendy and I, particularly in the wet.
When it came to the straights he just nailed it and we were not expecting it. Obviously he was not a match for two sports 600's though... ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

I know that people say that it's not your/our job to teach people on the road the error of their ways but, sometimes, it's just so necessary.
I've done it to bikers and car drivers in the past, my personal favourite was the VFR400 rider who cut me up on the exit of a roundabout because he just *HAD* to get past me on the Blade. I sat beside him on the dual carriageway while he topped it out with his chin on the tank. It was quite funny to see him look across at me, sat bolt upright and looking back at him
Then I buggered off (well, as much as you can at about 140mph)
Cheers
