My little bro is going to look at a peugeot ludix "one" and "classic" scooter tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with this scooter ? its brand new with 2 year warranty for £799 and seems like a good deal. Also does anyone have any idea how much a 19 year old would pay for insurance on one of these ? (its 50cc)

Thanks,

hi, i looked at these, to be honest, the "one" is extremely plasticky, the front brake and rear brake levers are made out of injection moulded plastic and are like cheap push bike ones. There are no indicators on the "one" and it is an economy model, and i am afraid to say that the prrice really does reflect this. On a lighter note, pug engines are supposed to be good, so i suppose if he uses it as a cheap runaround, with him not expecting it to last forever then i would say go for it!

Hi just wondering what bike did you go for? Its just i have a Ludix Blaster and wondering whats people think about them? Ive had mine and i think its very good, its a nice looking bike and its suppose to be the quickest ped off the line! Im just in the middle of de-resticting mine, im gonna fit a new "extreme" arrow exhaust system on it and im also replacing the restricted CDI Unit with a new de-restricted one. Just wondering has anyone heard of these CDI Units for the Ludix's? Cheers

The Ludix Blaster is supposed to be really good.

It has all the X race style chrome bits. Also has a Liquid cooled engine.
I heared good reports on that one.

my pug went pop Sad It was only because the previous owner put a 70cc kit and never increased the jet size though (what a f*cking tw*t). Then my transmission fell apart. On a good note though, the Speedfight is very well put together, and the chassis is very rigid for a scooter, and the speedfight is probably the only scooter with headlights that actually iluminate the road.

Shocked Hav u tried to fix it? My transmission went and made a rele loud grinding noise, it was the teeth that had given up on the end of the crankshaft. It needed a whole new crankshaft!!
Thats one thing i have found which is poor build quality - the crankshaft is made from soft metal whilst the flywheel which is on the end of it is made from hard metal. If it was the other way round it would be much easier to replace the flywheel!! Confused

I used to have a speedfight 2 100cc, it was none of them things.

Build quality was dire. handling was shite, brakes were worse acceleration was non existant and the headlights were piss poor.

Stay away!
