You say you're not a speed freak, we all say "yeah If it can do 80mph tops, I'll be happy". That'll change, don't you worry Wink

Smart looking bike, nice in the black, thats for sure... is it from a dealers I take it? One used by a dealer for test rides? Seems an unusual amount of miles on it

Also.....wtf is it? Is that what replaced the cb500? Or is it a cbf600 (not a hornet) or a different model to the cb500? Confused. The front forks seem longer than usual.

well, at the minute then, i really cant see me going much faster than 80.....i have just done over 1000 miles on my cg, and the only problem i have with it is on the open road ....you know, overtaking stuff as 60 is a risky business.............i just want some extra power for situations like that....but .....i'll get back to you if i start hitting 130 after a few months mr.instigator....promise i will...

the bike is from a main honda dealer in Ballymena (N.Ireland)...the lady told me that some guy who had a cbr600 bought it but couldn't get used to the fact that there was no fairing on this machine....

thats what she told me......so...

anyway...i get what i paid for my cg (£1500) and pay another £2000 and i steal the bike......that bike is £4800 on the Honda website (abs version)...i'm getting it for £3500...2005 with 60 miles......scare bleu.............

anyway...it is a cbf 600 abs......replaced the cb series...76hp, 58 mn........

oh, and by the way, that isn't my bike, it is still in the dealers, it is an exact replica off bikepics.com

i pick mine up on thurs 11th....if theres a god up there....

lovely in black....what....?????

There quite nice bikes, a friend of mine has one and hasn't had any problems with it. It has the same engine as my bike i think, so it should run quite nicely.

Looks very nice in black Very Happy

MZ125 - it's ok, it'll do 60, that's all I'll ever need...
Yamaha XJ600 restricted - it's ok, it'll do 100, that's all I'll ever need...
Yamaha XJ600 derestricted - it's ok, it'll do 130, that's all I'll ever need...

Watch this space for an R6/1.

Nice bike, but you could get a very good Hornet for that price - which is a similar bike, that looks better, is more powerful (better long term appeal), more popular, has a cult following, had their own race series (lots of aftermarket goodies), etc.

Sorry, I went off on one there, just seems an awful lot of money to pay for one.

Good luck on your test. Thumbs Up

I said "I won't go over 100" when I first got my zx6.

A few months later, following another (then) member of this site I got held up in some traffic, wondered why it stopped accelerating much when I got past, looked down and say the needle going past 155mph.

G, lol.

Yeh... before i got my 500, i said i'd never need to go any faster than 70 (which is about as fast as my 125 would do). Took it for a splin down the motoway where i live, came down the slip road and just held on the throttle and watched the speedo fly all the way to about 90... incredible... the acceleration in comparison to a 125 just isn't comprehdable until you actually sit on a bigger bike and try it.

Took me a couple days to learn to hold on a little tigher as i accelerated cause i kept getting thrown back, lol...

Only problem now is i want a bigger bike Very Happy.

I'll wait now until my 2 years is up, if i get some more cash between more and then I think i'd move up to a hornet, something a bit newer and a bit more sporty.
