Who else gets seriously pissed off when they take off their helmet and see that they look like a complete tosser because their hair is completely messed up? Mine seems to go fluffy aswell when I've been on the bike for an hour or more Confused

I find my hair tends to look better after i've been on the bike, as wearing the helmet straightens it out(my hair is ridiculously frizzy normally).

Grow it long enough to tie back and all your hair worries will be over. I do not tuck my hair into my jacket so I use extra hair ties along the length of the ponytail to stop it getting frizzed up by the wind.

My old middle shed parting shows when I take my lid off, considering I had a shed about 7 years ago I find that amazing! My hair is now short so it's weird looking having this middle parting with short hair! Strange...

See my display pic -Skinhead, you know you want to. That will sort out the helmet hair problem. Or, you bypass the problem by wearing a bandana. I've started to wear bandanas in general since the lining in my lid's gone soft, but like to wear it everywhere since people are quite used to seeing me in one (as a result of failing to take it off after i've taken off my lid).

I agree with feef with the beanie. cant seem to find a decent ones though.

*edit*

In america a white boy with a bandana gets you dirty looks from a few people.

I want a solid snake style one Now that would rock when you dont wear a helmet.

Shave it off, you'll look dead-'ard with a big bike and skin head.

I've got the skin head, just not the big bike.... Confused

I've got sod all hair anyway and whatever I have left is usuallt kept to a number 1 al over, so helmet hair is not longer a problem.

It's either got to be short enough to not do anything, or long enough to come out of the back of the helmet (girls mainly I've noticed) which means it keeps it flat in the lid.

I often have a cap or beanie with me, but whenever I go round the missus' on the bike, she hates me wearing hats of any kind, and I so can't be arsed to gel my hair just for me to put the helmet back on a couple of hours later, and helmet hair isn't a good look! Tried cropping it, but I look like a romanian orphan, i can't win!

Agreed, helmet hair is a real pain in the bumhole. I've actually started using wax instead of gel as I find wax is easier to restyle after taking the helmet off (I have very thick hair). Might be worth a try for some of you guys .

As for wearing a beanie hat - have you ever wondered why race driver/riders always have caps on when they're being interviewed by TV crew after a race? They'd look like scruffy peasants if they didn't.....specially rossi!

I get my hair cut in a shaggy just under shoulder length style as i ride to work and helmet hair is a pain.

I get to work splash some water in my fringe, quick blow in the hand driver fluff it all up and bobs your aunt fannys pet parrot.

If i dont have water or if i am biking all day its a different story - lol

the hippy has hair down to his mid back he ties it up with two hairbands at different points and he has no fringe. It can look a bit greasy after long biking days though.

My hair's not my main problem. My helmet fits just snug, but always leaves a slight redness on my forehead which looks EXTREMELY COOL as you can imagine. Now that is far worse than any mess your girly long hair can make Razz
