hey all, I PASSED MY TEST TODAY!!!! And therefore after the long wait I finally have my Yamaha R6 and I LOVE IT TO BITS! So... according to the title, its a beauty and a beast because its so lovely yet really powerful for what I expected. I've been on it all day, legs starting to hurt so thought I'd come in for a little while...

Here are some pics...

do you know what it seems to be fine, I got it up to 95mph and nothing at all... Had to slow coz of traffic tho. It might start to shake at higher speeds, but theres not many places in London where you can do that anyway...

It's not so much that it did it as high speed just occasionally when going over bumps/ridges.
I remember one time when joining a motorway I'd sped up to around 80 and hit a slight rough spot, sent my bars flapping and filled my pants nicely....
I fitted a steering dampner the following weekend!

Nice bike, I have a mate with an identical bike!

One word of warning before running out to buy a can for it though, my mate bought his with a race can and it sounded great was well addictive (I could'nt stop blipping the throttle when I was on it) but he decided to try out the standard can and found that the power band came in lower down and was alot more of a joy to ride with the standard can on. That was it he still has it on there. The R6 has a hellish high power band in the first place!

Anyway no matter what you do hope you enjoy it.

Lol that was one hell of an insnae night Very Happy best ride out I've had in ages. That R6 runs so nice and for a restricted bike I would have though it would have been much slower and have less acceloration.

Does look very nice but still no match for the F sport Razz

we very nearly had an R6 win the Ultimate Street-Bike Challenge at the weekend

because it was based on targets per class and points awarded, the very very quick Alan Tinnion almost beat the Big CC built and ridden 500+bhp turbo busa

his R6 figures are very impressive

109bhp on the dyno
171mph top speed
10.159@134mph standing quarter

awesome numbers for a 600 Cool Cool

Yea Kev, was a joke last night... Didnt think it could have that much power for a restricted bike, immensely powerful and still goes like a good'un. Done 112mph today and done 107mph with Barry as pillion, lol. I think I better stop Twisted Evil

Its all very good and I love it and I just cant seem to get this big old simle off my face... Isn't it nice when you step up to a bigger bike!!! Mr. Green

Hmm, well Barry was shitting it.. lol. He actually questioned the 33bhp as well, but it doesnt matter really.

I think I will get bored of it soon though and take the restrictor kit out, but for now its ok... Twisted Evil
