125 sports bikes

Got to see my first cagiva mito today in real life i've always just seen one on the internet. Wow what a beast i've heard there modelled by ducati or on the ducati but wasn't expecting that. I've only seen a cbr 125 and that just looks well like a kids bike. Am so stuck on what bike to choose now.

Cbrs=pants, Mitos are OK. Unreliability and performance, Aprilia, Derbi, Motorhispania, all the usuals.

Less performing and better reliability CBRs, Sachs XTC (bitch for parts, 1 dealer) and NSRs?

I once spoke to a bloke who had bought a new one.

Said the repairs cost more than the repayments. (Each month!!). Basically fell apart after the fisrt year.

The Honda NSR125 may be a better option. I think they're pretty nice, especially in the right colour scheme. They're a bit behind on performance in comparison with the Mito, but the NSR makes up for it with being more reliable than the Mito if looked after correctly. Better build quality as well, and parts aren't too expensive. If I had the space and money, I would buy an NSR. Just love them.

Yeah TZR ain't bad at all. Although if you have the money, go for the RR Belgardas, they're simply gorgeous.

Mitos are nice, a guy i work with has a super one its got good mods and looks the ticket (it also sounds excellent though the rs is a bit wick compared to the mito in this case).

I have a cbr and i have also owned a tzr250 2 stroker which was much faster but i like the cbr i have had it for a year now and have not had a single problem its a good bike it is very slim though.

But the best judge for picking a bike is you.

What about a cagiva planet 125, I may have the chance to buy one for a price which seems reasonable to me. As it will be my first bike it should be ok for starting out on won't it?.

or.....get a RS125!! i was going to get a NSR but thought the RS125 was the better buy, i didnt like RS's when i first saw them but love them now, although i still think the front veiw could be better but no bikes perfect (having said that.....)lol

here's an nsr, for sale, it's reliable, the price is low-ish, ill accept 1100. Only reason it's that price is because i slid it and scratched up the fairing, otherwise it's in great working order.

Don't like the newer RS's personally. Much prefer the 98' ones, Extremas and Chesterfields. Much better shape, as the newer ones are too rounded for my liking.

Planet's have the engine from a cagiva mito popped into them, but that means they are quite fragile.
All i know about the hyosung comet is its a four stroke that looks like a bigger bike.

Nothing wrong with RS125's, I had mine 3 good years, ragged the hell out of it and had no major problems... apart from the time some goon tried to steal it.
People say they are crap and unreliable? well it all depends how you take care of it, use shitty 5 quid oil then yes expect the worse.

And don't forget it came 2nd for the best handling bike!!! plus its Italian and has the ultimate daddy RSVR Hmmmm
