A2 Test tommrow so some last min quick question

when doing the u turn can your feet leave the foot pegs and just hover to keep balance or must they stay on the pegs at all times

plus can the skim the opposite cub or touch it with your tire

plus will he take in to account i will be doing it on a cruise so will have a long wheel base

When doing the U-turn, I'd keep your feet on the pegs, thats what I was taught, and don't touch any kerbs with your bike!

easiest way to do a u turn is to look where u want to be not where u are going!!!! Works every time!

Bummer dood. I failed first time too.

I practiced my u-turn over and over on an industrial estate at night. Decided i wouldn't stop until i could do it perfectly 3 times in row. Took a while and almost overheated my NSR, but i did it right on my test!

just booked a second test on Tuesday 13 Sep 2005 11:41 and will nail the u turn this time

Just practice, practice, practice.

I spent every lunch hour and evening and about 4 hours on both Saturday & Sunday on the 2 week run up to my test just practicing.

Going round the test centre and all roads from there.

Practice, practice, practice, In the end I could turn the CG on less than 9 foot.

The gutting thing was I did my emergency stop and he then asked me to do the U turn there, you should have seen the size of it, I could have done a U wwy in the Mondeo there.

Yup, you'll fly through the second time round. Just try to make sure that's flying through the test, and not through the window of your local Sainsburys!

anyone know if you can stand up on the pegs to do the U turn? on my (very) top heavy cx if i'm standing up I can control it beautifully, in and out of stuff where I practice without wobbling, go as slow as I like without having to put my foot down. I can do it fine sitting down aswell but it's definatelly much easier standing.

I was most concerend about the u-turn on my test and did it perfectly along with a good ride, but failed with an indicator on too long.

Second test I still had u-turn worries, but again did it flawlessly and thought I had a worse ride overall compared to the first and passed.

It's all about practise.

I can ride a CG125 in circles at full lock until it runs out of petrol now.

You'll get it, keep at it, and don't lose heart.
