Cleaning The Frame/Swing Arm

Other than Autosol as it seems to be doing jack, what else is good for cleaning the frame/swing arm on the Aprilia RS 125?

Is it just a brush up and polish? Any corrosion on the frame? Are they laquered?

Autosol is great stuff for those frames, you need to really work on it and rub it in. Will take a good hour to do the whole frame properly.

lol i have just done mine with autosole 3.99 from motorworld and it is amazing stuff. I can see my reflection in the frame and swing arm. Its hard work but the finish is mint.

Apparently Autosol takes a layer of oxide off the metal (or something like that). "Peeks" is a paste like autosol but is not gritty. Im not sure if it is true but I heard autosol can eat into the frame / swingarm, I only use it on the rearsets and the chainguard.

Someone please confirm this, or tell me Im speaking proverbial Shite.

IMO "peeks" is shit, to be honest. I bought it cos autosol was sold out and it was useless compared to autosol, but no i don't remember it being gritty at all. Just blue and crap And smelt of ammonia
