Check the condition of your chain and sprockets. What bike is it? It could be valve clearances, but they don't normally fall out of adjustment that quickly. It could easily be a loose nut or bolt somewhere, not neccesarily from the engine at all. Is the engine running hot and noisy - are you running low on oil? Does it happen all the time (with or without the clutch pulled in?), or only under a decent amount of acceleration? Is there any power loss? ____________________ I must not be a troll...

Anyway, check your chain, see if its slack. My chain was ultra slack, but before I checked, I could hear tapping noises as well. Turned out to be the chain so loose it was tapping on the side of the swing arm. ____________________ Honda MBX50 | Yamaha RD125LC | Suzuki RG125F Lucky Strike | Suzuki GSF600S
