Blue tyres ?!

After my 'off' a few weeks ago, where the front tyre scraped across the floor has gone blue can someone tell me why this is and is it bad ?

ive never heard of that, why not go down to your local garage and see what they say about it, can you keep us upto date with this because i'd like to know if it is a probably just for future reference.

It's a heat thing that discolours the tyre. I had it after my first two trackdays (207RR's).

It's something that happens quite a lot to slicks I'm told.

There is no problem with it, and your tyre should be o.k. I certainly had no problems with mine afterwards

That's a relief - I borrowed a mate's Hornet the other week, they weren't happy that I'd got rid of their much beloved chicken strips and were concerned that the edges of their tyres (about an inch in or so) were blue - I had no excuse, just saying that it's a fun bike to ride (splutter 'thrash')

I got a hornet as a hire bike when a fat bitch knocked me off. The funking thing is so low and bouncy you can kick the shit out of the tires without ever even pushing it hard. I had to buy replacement hero blobs for the pedals and hoped they wouldnt notice i hed ground a flat on the gear changer! Other than when you were deliberately doing doing it the bike was boring and a pain in the arse, especially scraping your feet when pottering around roundabouts!
