changing one 125 for another

thinking of having a bike change at the moment i have a gz Marauder 125 got my seocnd attempt at my a2 lience if i pass or fail thinking of getting a nsr 125
has i only do 7 miles to work and back aslo the odd sunday or sunny run

if i do pass on second attempt i could use nsr till 33bhp runs out and its bound to be quicker than my Marauder

what you guys think

anythings gona be faster than the marauder, i have one, slow as hell, altho i got 80mph (indicated) down a big hill with a tail wind Twisted Evil

But personally i wouldnt get another 125 as you ARE going to get bored of it, just keep hacking away at your test and get a Gs500 or something.

Imo a 125 is just not powerful enough. Screwing the nuts off of them everywhere is fun at first but it gets tiring real quick.

I think you might regret it. I was happy enough with the 125 on the morning of the test but as soon i passed the test i was thinking about all the bigger bikes i could get and i lost interest in the 125 more or less straight away.

i agree, ragging bikes to get them to go is all well and fun, and belive me i rag mine, treat it more like a sports bike than a cruiser, with a bigger bike, the power is there but you dnt have to use it, i belive it makes you ride more sensibly.

What do you want to use the bike for?

If its just commuting, how about a CB250? Still under 33bhp but has a bit more go than a 125 (ok, less "go" than an NSR125 in some respects, but it's less likley to blow up!).

If you plan on doing some motorway work, or any longer distances consider perhaps an ER-5, GS500 or CB500 with a restrictor kit fitted.

If you want a toy, consider some of the sports 400's.
