(see https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=56651)

And I have to say, it was fun! Very Happy

Power is spot on and makes the CBR feel sluggish. CBR generally feels more refined, where as the Ninja feels a tad loose and rattly, but the power's there, on tap, when you need it and doesn't kick in after you need it like the CBR does. There's nothing lacking mid-range either (possibly due to the Power Commander and custom map), so there's power there when I need it and don't expect it!! Laughing

Seat height is slightly lower and the seat is sculpted, rather than flat like the CBR. And you can actually push your hand into the Ninja's seat and push some padding in!!! Shocked

Handling was different to the CBR, which I expected, but I don't think in a bad way. On a blat down a country road, I found myself hanging off with knee extended quite comfortably and it still felt natural. I wasn't going quick enough for knee to touch down (it was someone else's bike after all), but it felt good! Cool

Anyway, we've pretty much agreed that the swap is still on, so next step involves other chap hiring a van and then us doing the swap!

My journey to the dark side is almost complete...

I'll agree with that, my CBR gives me hellish numb-bum syndrome sometimes, well jealous of my mates 6R!

Seat height is slightly lower

I found the opposite, although that was on a 98 6R, it all seemed a bit tall and top heavy. Felt like you had to lean hard for it to move then it went over really quickly.

I personally like the CBR more, I think the 6R has far better equipment (dials, seats etc) and sounds awesome on full throttle. Having ridden the 6R and seeing all the trouble my mates had with his I'd stick to my Honda. Especially if it looked like the one you had!

each to their own, enjoy your new steed Thumbs Up

Forgot to mention, love those gold rearsets! Wink

Speed isn't an issue you girl!! I did it in B&Q car park at 7mph. Twisted Evil

I rode a 03 zx6r and the difference compared to my 51 is a joke. So much more responsive thanks to the extra 33cc and fuel injected. Cool

The Kwak does look niiiiiiiiiice.. Who ever did the race rep did a sterling job too, looks very nice.

Myself, i prefer standard paint on my ride so i'd plump for the KWAK, also the Kwak is not a common bike when compared the number of CBR / R6's etc...............very nice pair of machines, think about the pro's and cons of it then MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP.

Aye, good bikes them. Had a test ride on one and liked it so much I'm now £6,500 the poorer Razz

So nice to have instant umph as well even if you happen to be not in the perfect gear at the time. Only niggles I would have with mine is seeing the clocks through the screen (which a double bubble screen would remedy) and also I find it can be a wee bit heavy on the wrists and neck. Other than that its pretty much perfection.

Is this so you can hold your head up in the MCNinjas forum mate. Love the look of your CBR, but I'm not a fan of the cans on the 6R, plus it should be green. Dont think you can go wrong either way.

I've had a green Kawasaki. I had green leathers, green gloves, green boots and a green lid. Then I bought a black and red CBR600F..... Maybe that put me off green! Laughing
