Could someone pleeeaaasse help me? My tacho is not working and has not for a while. What is it connected to and what colour wires should I be looking for? If the source is faulty, could it affect anything else?

Cheers,

Liam. Sad

What bike is it? are you sure its a wire? a lot of bikes use a cable the same as a speedo cable straight into the engine... Check this 1st.

It's a Honda Nsr125F. There are only wires coming from the clocks, apart from the speedo cable. I've checked out the dated wiring info in the old manual but it only shows wiring for the lighting of the clocks not the clocks themselves. As far as I can see, anyway!

Trace the yellow and black wire from the tacho to the CDI (under the fuel tank towards the front of the bike) There is a bullet connector between them, obviously check the earth from the tacho as well.
