Here's the story.
38 year old male, rode geared bikes until was 17 then passed car test and driven ever since.
Got a bike now (125cc) and rides it like he never stopped riding. So with all that driving experience, and can ride, is the CBT compulsory for him? Or is it just compulsory for new road users.
I think he has to do it, hence the C bit standing for compulsory. He says he doesn't as he wants to save 80 quid. Also, I recall I had to show my CBT certificate when I went for test. I never asked if I had to do it, I just did it to give myself confidence after so many years not riding.
I think of all those people that passed the bike test as it was 30 or so years ago, rode until they could afford a car, then didn't ride until many, many years later. They don't have to do a CBT, but I'll bet a lot of them need to. ____________________ Check my website. look at my profile though as putting it here would be spamming methinks (I worked hard to create it so at least look at it!) Nothing to do with bikes I might add! Might appeal to the more feminine personality. |
