Hey, some of you may knwo me from 125ccsb.com ive been a member there for over a year now, but ive moved on and although i intend to be a regler visitor and poster there i have needs now that cannot be addresed by a 125 forum.

my new bike a Suzuki SV 650 S, its bloody awsome, at first i wanderd what id done, it handeld like a pig...a very fat pig at that, and i didnt feel right in myself on the bike...but after a fgew days and 150 miles its a whole different machene, i believed it would take weeks, but once you get over the weght and the power most things are still just the same.

the reason i joined here is simple, 1st i will oneday need help with something on or with the SV and a 125 forum will by its nature be less equipt to deal with it then this, also the MUCH larger member base wil help me get intouch with ridersfrom my area as i talk to only two.

I live in south yorkshire so any riders on here from Rotherham/Doncaster/barnsley or sheffield who fancy a new friend then im you rman Smile relitivley new bithopefuly not slow, im eager to get out there and make the most of this 4k wonder machene!

##P.S. sorry about the spelling the checker doesnt seem to work and im abit dumb with lettters and there correct ordering##

What did your bike cost you, and how do you like the low down grunt?

Hey Kev, long time no speak. Take it easy on the bike. I found that even best mates are supposed to be waiting to pull out on ya first opportunity.

yea its low end balls are big and hairy, will pull up hills like there not even there, it will kick ass when derestricted and the full 75BHP kicks in..
all my previous worries about a larger bike have dissolved quite rapidly now i have this, iv had 100 out of her already, but i dont like revving her too much as shes still running in for awhile yet...tho i think the milage will be going up quite quickly as ive already done 170 miles since yesterday when it went for its 1st big ride, and we are going to shurban on wednesday and matlock on sunday maybe Smile so those miles are goint to fly on!

as far as im aware it has higer gears, the SV650 is menna be a wheelie monster, were the S has more topend, it still gives a refreshing pull on your arms under high acceleration wich is a very welcome change from the CBR125.

P.S. how do i get into one of the area forums...

I'm sure the SV only has around 60 bhp??

Anyway who cares?? Laughing

Regional forums??

Easy...Next to each forum title (eg, the North). There are blue letters they say some like "Northern use group". Click on that and it lets you ask permission to join at the top.

Welcome KAL...

You'll be glad to hear that you have now entered a forum where every 2nd topic ISN'T something to do with gaining an extra 1mph or racing nova's from the lights, pulling 3rd gear wheelies on cbr125's passing impressed girls. However, every second topic is usually speed camera waffle, fuel price complaints, more complaints, personal problems and scooter-killing debates.

Just letting you know, that's all. This place should really have a warning label on it.

Wink

P.S Get some pictures up pronto. Oh, and you won't be needing those nasty washers in your sv. Razz
