I hate it when people stick L plates on their car but they don't have a learner driving the car all the time.
Is there no regulation on this?
No point in the L plates then.

It's illegal to drive with L plates if you're on a full license as far as I know, carries the same penalties as a learner driving without L plates.

Might be wrong about the penalties, although I know for a fact it's an offence for someone with a full license to wear L's.

Checked on google as I posted that pish. Couldn't find anything relevant about using when on a full licence.
But I'm sure the pigs don't give a toss so folks don't worry.
But it's just not cricket is it?

There is no excuse, my girlfriend gave me her old magnetic L plates for the car, so they are easy to take on and off.

Problem is when you have got the plates on as I found out last night, I had to do a hillstart with no room of error because a car was about 2cm from my bumper. Thumbs Down Rolling Eyes

There is, it's the green 'P' which stands for just passed so please be careful. There is nothing stopping you from displaying this sign when ever you want later on to warn other drivers that you are a bit shaky!!

It is technically illegal however to display 'L' plates when you have a full licence, but the police will usually turn a blind eye if they see a 'parent' driving around in a car which is most likely being used to teach their 17 year old son/daughter to drive. It's just to much hassle to keep on removing an L plate, especially if its a stick on type.

Oh I get it now coz they're dick heads in the first place.

That's the trouble with magnetic L-plates. Cars, dustbins, manhole covers - all clinging to the back of the car.....
