Failed on a few very minor thing which I have sorted. Also failed on head bearings needing adjusting. Mad

To do this do I need to tighten the steering stem nut?

The guy we take our bikes to for MOT test would have offered to tweek the head bearings for us, minimum charge.
He want's us back you see.
Doesn't help you sorry.

Depends if they are worn or just loose.

Pull the bike up onto the side stand so the front wheel is off the ground, then move the handle bars from lock to lock. Can you feel a 'notch' around the middle (when they are in a straight line)?

I think the the ZXR, you loosen the nut on top of the yokes, then under the yoke there is an adjuster, tighten that down a little then re-tighten the top nut.

He said they don't feel worn, just loose. I just need to tighten them up. If only i had the f*cking spanner. Laughing

Adjusted it myself with a screwdriver, MOT PASSED W00T. Very Happy
