zx6 warm start

from cold bike starts purrs runs great fill up or stop for a drink any reason to shut off engine and its a bitch to start back up.
smell of flooding heavy petrol fumes from exhaust.
tick over is fine running is fine just after a warm up its a bitch to start had this problem before and after a full service any ideas.

check all the fuel line kinks etc, Also check coil's could be breaking down when bikes hot.
Well something is breaking down process of elimination sadly .

its fuel evaporation

when the engine is hot and stood still the heat evaporates the fuel

evap of fuel ? how can that be eliminated
it takes ages to tick it over, choke sometimes i do to just flood it
even more sounds mad i no its baffling me its just the knack i have of starting it now and it still takes ages to start.
ive had work done on the carb all lines are ok no kinks
dont want to spend no more cash.
superbikes wales main kwak dealer closest to me wants 50 an hour im not prepared to pay it as my new bike i tend to get is in january a thou which i dont know yet which one im getting

some bikes have a heat sheild to stop it happening dont know if yours is the same

my mates 98 zx6r does it he just holds it on the started till it fires

Are you saying the fuel is evaporating out of the carbs and thus the engine wont fire?

If so, you could try filling the carbs again using the PRIME setting on your fuel tap?
