HI all i own an rs 125 any ill cut this as short as i can
Came to some traffic lights bike died , wouldnt start pulled to a shop on a corner , got tank up no spark at all from the plug , put another plug in and no spark again , cleaned both plugs and tried them still nothing ,
Took the end of the HT lead and put a volt tester in turned ignition on pressed start button , showed there was nothing going threw

Does this mean the ht lead has gone? it just randomly stopped at some lights
Anyway , i HOPE it is the HT lead and i can just replace it , could anyone confirm this?

Cheers
Marc

Doesn't sound like it.

Sounds like the coil is knackered, or even the CDI, which I'd say is fairly unlikely.

Beware of sticking a voltmeter on the coil though, the voltages will be massive. I don't know what kind of current, it may still be enough to blow the fuse on the meter.

Yes, there is a way to test that too with a meter, Im not sure of the spec but it should in a workshop manual, your problem could be something simple and cheap or it could get awhole lot worse, check wiring on iginition system, might pay to pull out and push back in connectors, no spark could be a number of factors.

Fixed it... after hours of scratching heads and running out of ideas it was a bad earth on the coil.
