ok i have a 33BHP zxr400 am 17 so technically i should keep them in for 2 years Eh? . but i have been riding my bike for about two months and feel really comfy riding it, also have road my dads zx9r (up on some country roads). Now do you think its time for me too have full power or keep em in and shut up till i have done my time heheh. now of course you don’t know my riding skill so judge it upon your own experiences......

thanks richy:up:

They've already been in 2 months too long...Wink

All depends on whether you're willing to take the risk mate. It's a risk but one that a LOT of folk stuck on 33bhp seem to take. Thumbs Up

Hmm. The old bastard law abiding person in me says keep them in for the 2 years ya impatient bugger. However 2 months seems a very short time. I would have given it a bit more time, but then you will run out of summer. Its up to you ultimately, if you are happy risking your licence/life/both then nobody can stop you as long as you dont ride like a tit.

If your accident was related to the extra power anyway.

Otherwise it's a rather grey area.

Personally I've only heard of a very few people getting done for 33hp (just in news stories, no one I know).

I've got my bike restricted now, and truthfully theres not much difference between it being restricted and not. You can only tell the difference once you get the revs high and speeds up.

Mine are staying in. Thumbs Up

Keep them in for at least 4-5 months IMO.

2 months isn't long enough.

I could keep up on rideouts on my 33bhp bike, and I was right on the limit of using all the power I had. I'll bet you're not using all of the 33bhp.

Derestricted you should have about 65 I rekon, which isn't lethal, but will see you going a lot faster.

So derestrict yes. But not now.

Its up to you. How long have you been riding for?? My bike has never been restricted, and I feel fine on it. Its all down to your comfortable you feel on it. You can always put the restrictors back in if you feel uneasy about it.

actually you will be riding " not in accordance with a licence" which will automatically invalidate your insurance , whether the accident was related to the speed or not

those will 99% of the time mean automatic 12mths ban
