Pipes were cleaned by me before they went on, kept clean with a scrub up of Autosol every once in a while.

Heal plates/cast section of the frame was wet and dried, then polished.

I never thought the standard heel plates could look that good Shocked

How do you find the GPR70/80 combo? I've had both but always ran them as matched pairs.

Not too bad, the setup is a compromise though. I needed a pair that were reasonably durable for the commuting miles that I do, but offered enough grip for when the conditions are good, or I'm out on a weekend blast. I had previously used D207s for the same reasons, but they never felt as if they reached optimum temperature (being a ZR rated tyre, unlike the GPR H-rated).

Good amount of front end grip gives me a lot of confidence when the going gets bendy, rear feels a little hard and does get out of shape from time to time - can't complain though, I had a previous set last for well over 5,000 miles before.

I'd like to try the Bridgestone equivalent though (BT090 front/BT92 rear), as I had BT92s on my previous NC30 - was very happy with them.

If I didn't need to worry about mileage, I'd like to try some Pirelli Dragon Evo Corsas, or some Michellin Pilot Races some time.

I'd tread carefully with a BT92/BT090 combo. I had this on my RGV and it put me off BT92's for life. Recently Claud tried the combo out on his NC29 and immediately changed the front back for a BT92. It seems the profiles don't match well. The GPR's profiles are quite similar though.

I'm using a pair GPR80's at the moment, they work quite well and when they have lost grip the rear has gone first, and regained grip quite nicely.

BT090's all the way, you'd be supprised just how shiney hero blobs get after a couple of meters scraping along the tarmac Laughing

I got frustrated with having to change them every 1200 miles when I had them on my NC30. My current setup is fine for me, until I get a second bike for commuting that is.
