Hi Guys,

I do lawn mower racing, I have recently bought a set of motorbike brakes to fit to my mower off a Kawasaki zxr 750 h1, the caliper says tociko on the side.

What sort of brake fluid should i use?
Thanks Mark

Hi

DOT 3 or DOT 4 will be fine. You can also use DOT 5.1 but do not use DOT 5 (silicone based, can have odd effects on seals and also tends to give slightly spongy brakes).

All the best

Keith

You'll probably find it is embossed on the screw on cap of the reservoir.

Got any pictures of your mower then? Cool

Nobody use an full-on allen autoscythe towing a bogie for that then? You know the ones with big wheels and trianglar cutting blades across the front that councils use as snow ploughs for the pavements? I've been dragged through hedges by those buggers, what they lack in speed, they would make up for in torque.

Maybe they are banned because they are bloody dangerous?
