any ideas on how to bring back the finish on my alloy swing arm it has a dull patch caused by my battery overflow have tried autglym but no joy. any one know of and good alloy polishes?

I'm no expert but if sulphuric acid has leaked from your battery onto your alloy swingarm, it may have etched into the surface. You may have to use a more abrasive method to polish that out like wire wool? Especially if you have tried the usual liquid metal polish. Brasso I was told is much stronger than silver or alloy polish. Might be safer to try some of that first. ?
