Bike wrecked

Well ladies and gentlemen Something big has wrecked my bike.

I parked up out side work now where i work has a bike bay clearly marked with a red border. I went through the normal routine locked it up went in to work and got changed. about 1 o'clock my manager went to lunch and come straight back in and said that i might wanna look outside. I went out side and nearly cried somthing of considerable size had obviously reversed over it or went head first but what ever it was had gone right over it.

It was laying on its side and it had already pissed all sorts of fluid the fairing is in pieces and the rear wheel is bent and the exhaust is munched. frame is bent, forks are Fooked. headlight What head light! But the Seat has not one mark on it!

I had to use a Dispoasble camera my boss gave me to take pics had to call police to get a case number for insurance and as we didnt see who done it they may not pay, i decied to save $78 by not paying for cover from hit and runs cant rember what they call it but basicly thats wat it does.

Thank god the boss wont charge me for the clean up of oil and stuff. I have a load of proplems now i work 20 miles from home i ahve no acces to a car either. I miss my bike and i wanna cry.

I gotta collect pic's from the shops tmrw will try and get them scanned in. i gotta send a copy to the pork chop's and a copy to the insurance.

No CCTV about the place is there?

Check round the car park tomorrow for anything with scrapes/paint on the bumpers. Chances are it is someone who uses the car park regularly (look up the far end).

If there is paint on something that matches your bike, call the cops to come out, they can check the paint on a bumper to see if it is the same as the paint on your bike. They have committed an offence of "failure to stop and report at the scene of an accident", you might need to remind the police of this.

Just hope i can claim insurance other wise i gotta put in some over time. from what i see shes unrepairable so i gonna start looking at maybe a temp replacment.

I will be able to salvage engine and the bars and controls. I feel maybe a track day project comeing on. oh and the kick stand survived. frontwheel is fine. Might try mating it all to a 400 frame. but thats when i see what insurance has to say 2 bikes sounds nice

I had tears in my eyes all the way home. Only had 1900 miles on it and a full tank of gas. and a Brand new Carbon can.

I'd see which delivery companies (if any) delivered to your work on the day of the destruction. They're more likely to be the kind of people/ vehicles who would tend to hit something and bugger off, as it'd be difficult to prove anything.

What kind of business are you in? Is it one where you get loads of big lorries in and out or just one a day if so it shouldn't be too hard to know who did it but as has been said verry hard to prove.
I really feel for you mate,a friend at work here got his bike driven into by a fork lift,that was a sorry sight but nowhere near the damage yours has received

I work in a big sports shop, you name it we sell it. deliveries every to days but i never really get told any thing about them i just work tills part time between college. Got the flyers to put up today lets see if i can find a witness.

I'd be asking your manager for the delivery schedules from that day. Are there any other shops in the area that get deliveries? Ask them too. You know the date, and you know it was morning. Shouldn't be too hard to nail it down to just a few. Pass on the info to police and remind them of the offence. Then watch the bastards do NOTHING.

That really sucks! I think i would just break down and cry at the sight.
I would be unconsoleable, i feel bad just reading this. Do you think someone could have done it on purpose...by your avatar your bike was Yellow (hard to miss) and in a designated bike bay. Good luck with the insurance.

That stinks! Any neighbouring buildings with cctv? Hav a look round the exit of tha car park, maybe if you're lucky, the accident might have dislodged the git's numberplate, causing it to fall off nearby.

I just got in from work finished early and im off to the insurance company to have a word im going there offices so will report on the bad/good news.

I haven't been to any of the surrounding shops just yet tell you truth i didnt think of it.

my boss says there was no delivery althougth might have been the store next door. And they wont give out there records cause all of this confidentional bollox in america.

Just got back from the bloodsuckers.

And by what my broker was saying my claim should be succsesful which means i will hopefully have a cheque for $7000 which at the mo should buy me a brand new 2005 gixxer 600 at a local dealer.

Im not getting my hopes up as its insurance people after all

If my claim is allowed my insurance will raise by $250 approx which aint to bad thinking of it. and i just gotta find a cheap scanner to upload the pics. makes me sick every time i look at em

Glad your insurance came through! Which broker are you with? $250 extra isnt that bad, probably only covers their admin fees. Is your NCB protected? Good luck with your new gixxer - the new model has over 200bhp/litre i think, though it may be a tiny bit less. Hope you enjoy it!

Aye that's a great deal! Insurers over here wouldn't pay up sh1ts worth of anything to you, they will always find a way out of it. Especially not that quick anyway. Still gutted for you it's a terrible waste, good luck in the future though.
