I would just like to thank the two young ped riders coming from the opposite direction in Mitcham today who thought it would be a great laugh to swerve into my path.

It must have been really funny and stupid to hope that coming at me head on, on the wrong side of the road, would in any way intimidate me.

I must say that although I took every necessary avoiding manouvre, I am really sorry that my uncontrollable outstrecthed leg ""accidentally"" connected with you and I hope that the trip into the center bollard after bouncing off each other didnt cause you too much distress or pain.

I did stop to see if you were OK but you little CUNTS were running off too fast for an oldie like me to catch.

I would also like to thank George, The rider of the 600 Bandit, who stopped, for keeping me in pains of laughter with his description of the event and his assistance helping me to move the peds out of harms way. I am sure the builders skip we put them in will keep them safe and avoid any further accidents.

DONT YOU JUST LUV FRIDAYS......

Well being the good citizen I am I reported the incident to the police and waited for then to turn up. Got the names of a few witnesses etc.

I got thanks for moving the peds out of harms way and a lecture on how it was not a good idea to place them in the skip. Well to be honest the police officer was doing his job but by the smirk on his face while he was talking I could tell he was enjoying every moment. I think the part where he asked if I was injured and I told him I had severe pains in my side but attributed this to the laughter rather than the accident which got the biggest smile from him.

Anyway the Police have contacted me and advised that the peds were reported stolen about 20 mins after the the 'accident'. They have been to see the owners, one has no insurance the other no license. They know and I know what this is all about. I'll leave it up to them what they do but said I was not too interested in pushing the accident part.
I did suggest they could give these lads my address and I would ""DISCUSS"" with them about the damage to their bikes but some some reason the police are not to keen to do that.

I dont know what happened to the lads. The police tell me the enquiries are ongoing.

I would not tar all ped riders and peds with the same brush the same as I would not say all bike, car, van, lorry drivers are angels.

Those who want to learn to ride and have some independance have to start somewhere and peds are the flavour of the month. Most seem sensible, its the odd few that spoil it and give them a bad name. Same with bikers I suppose.

ODD FEW!? Most ped riders are utter chav-tastic loonies who think they're big n 'ard because they got their rich parents to buy them peds which they subsequently destroy. It isnt even as if they're just trying to show off round corners either, i've seen plenty guys riding on the wrong side of the road - god knows why. It's the majority of ped owners who spoil it for the minority.

Speedfights are the chavs ped of choice, but there are a few sane people on them.

My 125 is gonna be a 4t, so Big peds will still give it a run. But it's not a ped! and thats the main thing.

I'll be riding a ped shortly, although only for college or work. I refuse to pay for for car parking and i'm not leaving the RVF outside college, so the runner shall be used.

The fuel economy should also be a bonus. Smile

edit: I also agree that scooters have been given a bad image, a few more people need theirs throwing in a skip. Laughing

I Don't like peds really but i sadly am going to buy one. I Just passed my cbt on a scooter because i cudn't quite handle the gears on a 125 bike. So what i plan to do is ride a scooter(normally) and practice on country roads near mine on a 125 bike just until i get the hang of it. Am going to hate being called a chav

I just upgraded from my scooter to the Bike

i like the fact i can have more control over the bike,

u shouldnt get branded a chav just cuz u ride a scooter though, i think mainly the twats that ride like idiots suffer that fate...

I know you all hate speedfights, but i ride one (it was the only thing i could afford after my NRG got half-inched) They're a decent and solid ride, but the previous owner was a total dimwit chav. If you can put up with the chav association, speedfights are a damn good scooter - far better than my piaggio.
