Right ladies and gents one question:

Whats the difference with the 2004 Gsxr 1000 and the 2005 Gsxr 1000. Obviuosly visual its the exhaust but never seen a 2005 in the flesh yet they selling quickly here.

Im still thing of a new Gixxer 600 or a new CBR 600rr maybe even a r6 if i can get one with the silver black paintjob.

But if the 1000 is still as good as what they say it may be worth looking at. I love biking out here 18 and riding unrestricted. Mr. Green

Insurance might be a killer but its a thou Very Happy

All info much appreicated.

I like the blue white on gixxer's. Although it's a too common.

Personally, I LOVE CBR600rrs from about 2003 onwards. Gorgeous bikes, plenty quick enough for the road. 150mph anyone? And insurance shouldn't be crippling.

I don't think there will be a huge difference aside from the most obvious one you have just mentioned, the exhaust (which in my opinion is awful). As for preformance, there won't be that much in it. A few more BHP in the 2005 model probably, and more MPH, but that's at a guess. You insurance will be higher too perhaps. Why not get a 600 instead? How about a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, my fave bike!

Managed to just get rid of one then. It's this bloody site, goes so slow, so you press back and it ends up sending the post through again! I could tell you almost EVERYTHING about the ZX-6R.

It's top speed is 158, but some say you can get it to 165 by tucking in proper, I'd say 160ish though which isn't shabby. It comes in three colours, Lime Green, Raw Titanium and Candy Blue. If you mean the height you sit at, it's 82cm. I'm 6' and when I viewed the bike, I think I could fit on it very nicely.

Well, I can't speak from experience, just from reviews. The K5 is a whole new GP-derived machine, which makes the K4 seem like a sport tourer (apparently). Suzuki once again moved the game on with the K5, so much so that the other thousands require an update. It's a more powerful, lighter, better handling, uglier and smaller bike than its previous incarnation.

If it was my choice, I'd go for an '05 ZX636R, either in the gunmetal or blue. Are they still doing that 0% interest deal? That's very tempting, although I wouldn't be selling up just yet.

I say go for the gixxer 600. Brilliant handling, more than enough speed to get you out and in trouble. Blue and white is a great colour scheme just to damn popular hence the reason why i went for black. Some people think it looks plain but i think it shows the lines of the bike and just looks awesome.

Looks Ghostrider-reminiscent Thumbs Up

A carbon can would suit the bike well.

the 2005 has a new frame a slipper clutch is smaller and lighter
0-60 3.07 seconds
top speed 184.71
standing quarter 10.36 @ 144.99mph
it also stupidly does 0-150 in 11.19 seconds
as for the 2004?
it wasnt that rated at the time, it got beaten in most tests by the 2004 R1.

If you go down the CBR600RR route, the 2005 is supposed to be the best as it has improved suspension, better midrange power and is lighter than the 03 and 04.

As for the GSX-R1000 I would take the K5 over the K4. A guy at work has had two K2s and got a K5 and said it's mind blowing how good it is out of the box. He tracks a lot and said it is very impressive.

I would go for the yellow/black K5. Check this out ...

https://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/files/images/GSX-R1000_K5/1024_Static003.jpg

I want to see if I can get this colour scheme when I change my bike (will be about 2 years yet). If it wasn't for this colour scheme only being available on the litre version, I would probably go for another 600. What a shame - I'll have to get a thou Wink
