You take the L plates off because you get more respect?
How much respect are the real bikers here giving you?
What you are is a liability mate, people fork out good money to pass a bike test and ditch the L plates, if you get caught carrying a pillion i hope they throw the book at you. Also your pillion could well sue you if you crash with them on? |

You were riding without L plates You deserve the death penalty
Geez, they way some of you are talking it's as if he's just f*cked your dog.
You were a bit unlucky to get 6 points from just having no L plates, is that the whole story? I was stopped without them (just bought and insured the bike at 8pm so no chance to get any that evening but i was eager to go out on it.) but after checking the bike over they just told me to get some when i have chance.
Get some L plates, learn from it and don't go carrying any pillions untill you pass your test. ____________________ ZXR750L |

You can aquire up to 12 points on a provisional. Once you pass your first test, if you aquire and points in the first two years that take you to a total of 6 or more, you will have to retake your test (theory and practical.)
AFAIK carrying a pillion on L plates also carries a penalty of 3 points. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

Lol at respect without L plates
Is that what you are going to say to your insurance company if they ask you about any previous penalty points?
Just to clear this up, as it is murky, do you need L plates front and back or just the back plate? ____________________ DNA50 (sorry) ->> TZR125l >> GPZ500S |

Yes you need front and back, also, they should be full size and not mounted horizontal.
Alot of people try to overtake me when they see my L's.
Sometimes I move over to give them space to pass, then return the overtake. |

Wrong wrong wrong, those L plates are there for a very good reason, it tells me what you're abilties are, nest time put a T on for "Tosser" respect is earned and not to be expected, bad move dont carry that idea when on the road or you'll be another number on the road yearly death toll
Also what can carrying a pillion passenger on l plates do to you? You cannot carry a pillion. this question is a bit vague
cheers, matt |
I know younger riders want to do odd things and disregard the law but you will come short of the law, the law enforcers are there to protect us ALL, my only tip to younger riders is to take the law seriously, go through your books again, do what it says and you wont have the law on your back, also note that the coppers who nicked you will be looking out for you, consider yourself as good as been hunted by a Lion in a open field and the bugger is hungary, its fair game[/b] |

You must of being giving the copper some mouth for him to slap you in the face with 6 points.
I dont know of any police who would give out 6 straight points. They would warn you to put them on and if they catch you again, you will recieve the points.
I think theres more to it than a pair of L plates TBH.
ANyway, I think your a spanner. More respect my arse.
FFS its a moped, YOu look like a twat with or without L plates. Live with it dude.
I do!

Fair enough on the l-plates, it isnt really a big issue, unless you're a totally useless rider, but carrying a pillion!? if it was a harmess mess-about in a quiet cul-de-sac, then fair enough, but you're just taking the p!ss if you're genuinely giving somebody a lift.
