Does it sounds like a scam to you guys??
2004 GSXR600
Done 10k miles
Looks pretty shiny and he said everything is perfect…etc
Asked for 2600 euro including shipping from Spain (including tax & shipping insurance as well!!!)
He kept asking me to give him an answer whether I want the bike and pass him my detail so that he can ship the bike to me. Also he only accept bank account transfer.
What do you guys think?? I do not want to send him the money and what I have got back is a GSXR600 1:20 model

Ask him what his address is, and tell him that you've got a friend who can come and look at the bike. If he's not genuine, he'll refuse. If he agrees, try and find someone!
Or you could ask for a picture of him holding an up to date newspaper next to the bike, that'll prove whether he actually owns it.
Or get the numberplate and run the equivalent of an HPI check, they must have one in Spain.
I'd say this is almost certainly a scam. If it's too good to be true, it usually is. And money transfer is the scammer's scam of choice, since you have no comeback when the bike doesn't appear. ____________________ Current: Yamaha Diversion XJ900

Well, if he has a picture of the bike showing the numberplate, you can check his details match that of the registered owner of the bike.
Most scammers just steal a picture of a bike from ebay and use it, so if you ask to see a different picture, they can't send it. It's not a fool-proof trick, but it'll expose most of the scammers, most of the time. ____________________ Current: Yamaha Diversion XJ900

Read this: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/BIKES/sell/fr-1.jsp
It helped me getting out of a scam. ____________________ Ride Fast, Brake hard, don't fall off! |
